Vintage Style Fringed Lampshade 'Larkspur'

This is a simply elegant lampshade

We used a stunning faux silk fabric 'Astor' by James Hare fabrics in shade 'Larkspur' for our vintage style scalloped hand sewn lampshade. 
This is a beautiful delicate understated fabric which oozes elegance. We feel that the fabric is so stunning we decided to use a soft Oyster shade fringe and matching braid.

Unlike other lampshades, ours are balloon lined, and here we used a neutral shade allowing the colour of the fabric to speak for itself when lit.

Technique
This lampshade has been made using traditional skills and hand sewing methods. 

This lampshade has a duplex fitting and can be used with a Spider fitting for a pendant/ceiling lampshade or a Shade carrier for a standard/table lampshade. (I can help advise with size of shade carrier needed and can provide.)

Bulb: I recommend a low energy cool to touch 40w lightbulb.

Braid: Oyster.
